Evan Dain is a San Francisco Bay area native whose first instrument was the guitar, but he went on to play bass, banjo, mandolin, trombone and tuba. Evan moved to Tucson in 1996, and has been active as a performer, arranger and producer. He is a member of the popular “Hot Club of Tucson.”
Robin Horn is a man of many skills and talents: live and studio drummer, composer, arranger, producer, recording artist, electronic percussion programmer and demonstrator, clinician, and educator. Robin performed or recorded with such greats as Paul Buckmaster (original orchestrator with Elton John), Michael Bruce (original guitarist with Alice Cooper), Frank Gambale (guitarist with Chick Corea), Andy Griffith, The Jets, Patrick Moraz (keyboardist with Yes), Aaron Neville, Linda Ronstadt, and many others. He has been an Artist in Residence at the UofA since 1994, teaching advanced drumset and electronic percussion applications and co-director of Cross Talk, the UA Electronic Percussion Ensemble. He has been a top clinician for Yamaha since 1988 and was one of the sound designers for their DTXTREME Electronic Percussion System. He has released two solo CD’s , “Fast Lane” and “Collection” both of which continue to receive international airplay.
