Felix Sainz, Jr. - cd Release Concert at The Nash

In the transitory music community of Phoenix, Arizona few “natives” have made a commitment to sustaining the Latin jazz scene like Felix B. Sainz, Jr. Felix’s talents and passion for music are encapsulated on his debut solo album entitled “The Nearness of You”, due to be celebrated at an upcoming cd release party at The Nash on January 29, 2015.

The CD is a collection of fourteen popular and classic love songs, crafted in a fusion of popular jazz, Spanish boleros, and Brazilian bossa novas. Every arrangement is composed in a smooth, world-class jazz style. As a soloist he sets the stage for romance, performing classical guitar, stand-up bass and his multilingual vocals (English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese). As producer of this project, Felix’s arrangements feature the virtuosity and talent of these musicians: Dave Baradic (keyboards), Joe Corral (flute), Fred Forney (flugelhorn), Alan Ames (violin, viola, mandolin, and guitar), and Joe Garcia (percussion)....
